Japanese written language

The Japanese written language is similar to Chinese one. Sometimes it may seem that the Japanese written language is more ruled by traditions than by the rules. But this tradition is very stable and strict. And it is also very complicated and it is definitely more complicated that it may seem from the first sight.

Of course Japanese written language is hieroglyphic. It has several signs that sometimes have several versions of writing. But in reality these versions result to have different value. Tradition gives them its value.

The modern life added a lot of new attitudes to the Japanese written language. But it is necessary to mention that knowledge of hieroglyphs writing is still one of the most valued in this country.

The norm of the modern written languages gives us two kinds of writing. One of it is hieroglyphs that are written as the saint signs. And another way of writing is considered to be permanent. And the preference of hieroglyphs says about the high style.

The main problem of Japanese writing was the fact that with the introduction of Chinese hieroglyphs they also introduced their sound form adapting it to the Japanese language. In the result, the Chinese hieroglyphs got two pronunciations one of which was the Chinese one and another one was the Japanese one. Moreover one word could be transmitted as with one hieroglyph as with two. This made the Japanese language even more complicated.

One of the greatest inventions of humanity was the invention of language. The oral language allowed people to communicate with each other changing their thoughts, emotions, impressions, news, etc.
